Create Joy and Love

Hello and welcome to my fourth adventure into subliminals. This time we are going into the realm of Fire element, the third element of the five elements of Chinese medicine, which symbolises young adulthood, Summer, joy, love, passion, vulnerabilty, empathy, excitement and noon.

The archetype associated with this element is the lover

So these affirmations are written to generate passion, joy and a lust for life and an ability to connect to the hearts of others.

People who have weak fire element might struggle to name their hobbies and passions, they might be workaholics or overall too focused on the bigger picture on life – they won’t stop to smell the roses, or they may be very bored. The easiest way to tell if Fire element has gone out within a person is that they have chronically lost the sparkle in their eyes and the spring in their step.

People with overactive Fire element may be too prone to reacting to everything as if it’s the end of world, when in fact they’ve lost their glasses or forgotten to buy eggs.

Listening to this subliminal for over a period of time you will:

  • be able to open your heart and be vulnerable and without fear, while everyone in your life accepting and connecting to your vulnerability
  • be able to be reinvigorate your life and become more excited about it
  • be able to find passion in the small things
  • be able to give the best compliments to others (because of this ability to love)
  • be able to be childlike and playful
  • be able to embark on each new day as grand and exciting adventure
  • be able to empathise with others and understand them
  • be able to create excitement healthily without resorting to reckless or addictive behaviours
  • be able to feel your emotions fully and then let them go

These subliminals are best listened to for an hour everyday until you see results or you feel lightheaded. Remember to keep hydrated as you listen!

You can listen to the subliminals here on YouTube

For transparency’s sake here are the affirmations that I’ve written. I will warn you that if your conscious mind is ignorant of them they work better, but what I’ve described above is a brief summary of what they will do:

How to Heal Emotional Pain: New Talk!

I’ve recently created and recorded a talk, an expanded edition of a blog post I wrote several years ago called “How to Heal Emotional Pain” but this time it comes with some extra insights and an easy guided meditation.

The meditation is a quick practice for listeners to enquire and self heal any emotional pain they will have using breathing and awareness.  It is not designed to be a thorough investigation and clear out, but a way for listeners to return time and time again and to feel safe to re-experience and heal their pain – and to provide a basic framework in future, so listeners can heal and soothe any kind of emotional distress as in when it comes up.

This is where you can find it on YouTube and this is the meditation separately.

If you liked this talk, don’t forget to like, subscribe, share it etc, or consider supporting me on Patreon or sharing any article on my website/blog at http://www.circularfacereading.com.
Any little way you can help is such a big thing in bringing this business forward.

Hope you enjoy!

Create Trust and Faith

Hello and welcome to my third adventure into subliminals. This time we are going into the realm of Water element, the first element of the five elements of Chinese medicine, which symbolises fear, independence, courage, freedom, the unknown, faith, trust, mystery, the ancestors, winter, and the time before birth and after death.

The archetypes associated with this element are the witch or wizard, the alchemist or the wandering healer.

So these affirmations are written to generate trust and faith in the unknown, so you can cultivate a sense of freedom to spring into action.

People who have weak Water element might struggle with fear, they may feel that there is danger around every corner for them because they struggle with feeling safe. If someone believes life is dangerous, or that there are certain institutions and authorities that are “out to get them,” they will not be very trustful people and therefore struggle taking the right course of action or any action because they feel petrified. This fear can also manifest as irrational phobias.

People who have weak Water element will also struggle with rest, as Water is the department of rest, and they will also have a common belief that “it’s all up to them” which will feel like an unbearable burden. They will also struggle with loneliness and being alone because of this strain on individualism.

When someone has restored or healthy Water element, their intuition is readily available and they make choices so easily with it that it feels as if they are being guided and supported by a mysterious force. It feels like they are floating on a river.

When someone has restored or healthy Water element, they will feel less alone, maybe even that they have company, because their intuition, their faith and strong sense of safety has given them a deeper connection to life. Patience is abundant to them because they are so trustful.

These affirmations are a way to boost this department of your life and create some of these qualities in a way that it most desirable and needed for you.

When I explore and meander, I make progress every day in exactly the same way when I take direct action, and I trust that progress and whatever will come of it.

Wandering is an act of healing and it is always safe for me to wander. It’s safe to take days off and rest. Rest always serves me well. I know how to truly rest and the importance of it. Rest follows work.

If things are dark for me and I feel lost, I know that this is my deepest moment of healing.

Healing is wandering and wandering is healing.

The deepest part of me is the swiftest.

I flow and allow and so things unfold in my favour

I listen to myself and how I feel. When I listen to myself I know what action to take and how to take it. Listening always precedes my actions. I wholly and truly trust the order of events from what I feel like doing, from listening to myself.

I am deep. Everything I need to overcome any obstacle in my innate power and will, so what to do and what needs to be done simply arises. If it doesn’t rise I have ample patience that I will overwhelm or wear down the obstacle.

My faith will overcome

I am courageous because I have faith in myself and trust in my life. I trust how my life has been and how it will continue to unfold. I trust my nature and so I trust my journey.

I deeply trust the unseen and the unknown so I trust the nature of my mind.

I am independent and resourceful. My nature encourages freedom of mind and freedom of opinion.

The deeper I trust, the better my action. Trust is depth. Like the arrow in the bow, I need to go back in order to go forward.

I find the way by exploring. Exploring myself, pondering who I am is the best way to know and act on who I am. Exploring always leads to gently and slowly finding what is right and what is wrong for me, and when I know that, I can express it in my life.

Healing and recovering are matters of patience, faith and trust. The more I have these qualities, the more I can heal myself and then heal others.

Slow and steady wins the race for me

My habits are formed steadily, diligently and persistently

When I am alone I am listening to who I am and deepening my sense of self

Being alone is sacred and is an immensely good thing, I listen to my intuition when I am alone and I can hear the voices of my ancestors and the support I have from the other side when I am alone

The world and thoughts inside me are as real and physical as the world outside of me. If something can’t be seen, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

I travel through my life with a deep sense of knowing and how something feels to me. My wisdom always counsels my action. I always listen to myself before I act.

There’s nothing to fear from the unknown and mystery, this is just how life has been organised, that everything must be created or inspired by mystery

I always feel safe because I am always reassured by the divine

I am safe and so I am express my nature

My trust fuels the change and direction I need to take. My self-knowledge and expression of my nature have deep roots in my self-trust.

I’m connected and supported to my ancestors all time in all ways. It’s not all up to me, I have support.

I move with courage and perseverance

Memory, history, connections, my ancestors and bloodlines are out of time. This gives me an eternal sense of comfort and trust.

Trust, persistence, faith, intuition, doing what we feel like doing are powerful tools that I always use to great effect.

Life widens and deepens me every day.

I am courageous. I am brave. I am persistent. I am wise, I have great amounts of wisdom. I am strong. I am free

I trust deeply and so I am deeply free.

Exploration works like magic for me. I am guided and always feel the nudges to do what I need to do,

Freedom is trust for me, trust for me is freedom. Trust, faith, courage, patience, intuition and freedom are qualities I have in abundance and so work like magic in my life

For me it is freeing to have faith. It is freeing to be courageous.

Trust is magic for me.

I know how to heal and counsel myself.

I do much from wandering and when I take life slowly. It’s good to take life slowly and I can tell when I need to take life slowly.

I always know and remember there are thousands and thousands of years’ worth of people who have shared in this experience called life. Whatever I’ve experienced or whatever I’m experiencing, someone or some people before me somewhere in history have experienced it too. And even if I don’t know those long-gone people, I share a connection to them and feel their support.

I am carried to where I need to be

I understand and know in complete totality the value, essence and nature of trust. My great understanding of trust is equal to how much I enact and embody it in my life. My understanding of trust is beyond advanced and is at the highest level that can be achieved in a lifetime.

I understand and know in complete totality the value, essence and nature of courage. My great understanding of courage is equal to how much I enact and embody it in my life. My understanding of courage and my life purpose is beyond advanced and is at the highest level that can be achieved in a lifetime.

I understand and know in complete totality the value, essence and nature of faith. My great understanding of faith is equal to how much I enact and embody it in my life. My understanding of faith is beyond advanced and is at the highest level that can be achieved in a lifetime.

I understand and know in complete totality the value, essence and nature of wisdom. My great understanding of wisdom is equal to how much I enact and embody it in my life, My understanding of wisdom is beyond advanced and is at the highest level that can be achieved in a lifetime.

I understand and know in complete totality the value, essence and nature of wisdom. My great understanding of wisdom is equal to how much I enact and embody it in my life, My understanding of wisdom is beyond advanced and is at the highest level that can be achieved in a lifetime.

I understand and know in complete totality the value, essence and nature of independence. My great understanding of independence is equal to how much I enact and embody it in my life. The Warrior Frida Kahlo (Subscriber Content)

On the sixth of July 1907, Matilde Calderón y González gave birth to a baby girl, who she and her husband Guillermo named Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón, who would grow up and become the famous artist Frida Kahlo.

For this reading I’d like to keep myself as ignorant as possible on Kahlo’s life, so that readers who know her well can decide on the accuracy.

The only things I know about her life (apart from the above) are:

  • That she suffered a horrific bus accident in 1925, spent three months recovering and it crippled her.
  • She married an artist called Diego Rivera
  • She painted mostly portraits of herself, and there are a lot of them
  • She was a proud Mexican and her fashion choices reflected her Mexican pride

So now that I have come clean, what do the her eyebrows say?

The eyebrows in Chinese Face Reading indicate the natural levels of confidence we have and how we make our decisions. They can also indicate how much drive and energy we have.

When someone has naturally thick and full eyebrows, it indicates a healthy and above average level of confidence and drive. It must be noted that drive in Chinese Medicine is a translation of “anger,” we’ll come back to this.

When someone is born with these eyebrows, it’s a frequent remark that they are a handful – there is just so much aliveness and rambunction, charging into one direction and another, that it’s hard to keep up with them. Hence this person is easily frustrated.

It is the normal advice in CFR that these eyebrows should be plucked so they have less energy, drive and frustration, but what’s interesting about Kahlo is that she doesn’t have these eyebrows as a child. This is Frida at age 11:

And this is her as an adult:

https://circularfacereading.files.wordpress.com/2021/01/f28d2-frida2bkahlo2b1930s-40s2b35.jpg

And this is her a year after the accident in 1926, aged 19:

In Chinese Medicine, there’s a theory that what is internal will externalise and what is external will internalise. To put it differently, the inner reflects the outer and the outer reflects the inner, hence why, with Chinese Face Reading, we’re able to read someone’s inner nature accurately from their outer features. Changes to the face happen overtime when our internal selves change and remain in a certain state, the exterior catches up to reflect the interior.

My work also incorporates a type of Asian astrology called Nine Star Ki. In Kahlo’s NSK it speaks of her being a “warrior,” someone who naturally has a lot of drive, someone who is a doer.

My deduction and interpretation of Kahlo’s eyebrows, is that as time went on and she became accustomed to the damage done to her body, her natural drive only increased and became more focused towards productivity – focusing on what she could do, rather than what she couldn’t and this meant her artwork. Also, the eyebrows may speak of a high internal pressure she was placing on herself to move about and do something. The Warrior archetype in Chinese Face Reading is notorious for not being able to sit still, but she had nothing else to do but sit still.

Her famous eyebrows weren’t there before the accident because there could have been no internal pressure and plenty of ways for her to divert her energy as an able bodied person. The more limited her life became, the more frustrated her energy became. It is true that even in the year after the accident they have yet to externalise, but I interpret this as possibly not having lived long enough with the damage to realise the extent and impact of it.

This internal will and life force was so strong that it gave her extra eyebrows. Without these eyebrows, and whatever positive outlook accompanied them, I doubt Kahlo would have produced as much work as she did. And if there was no desire and drive to continue with life after her accident, then these eyebrows would not have externalised.

Kahlo’s work is mostly self portraits.

Warriors in CFR are associated with individualism and the self. One of their many lifelong goals is to know who they are, develop a healthy relationship with the self, or to keep exploring and examining the various aspects that make up their identity and then express that. I often find that warriors end up as vocalists or artists because of their desire, or rather deep seated need, to express and voice who they are. Only when that individual expression is reached for expression’s sake, do they know themselves and then they end up – their true destiny – as change makers.

A warrior who has no sense of self, no healthy relationship to themselves, or is stuck in a situation where they are unable to remove themselves, or creatively change and soothe their mindset in that situation, so they can express and become individuals and therefore change makers, will suffer with depression. That natural drive turned inward.

So I see these eyebrows on Kahlo as a sign of immense hope after tragedy.

Despite all that I’ve said above, that’s not to say that Kahlo was free of her demons. The drive turned inward and the pain became too much. She did commit suicide in the end. Warriors are the most likely of any archetypal group in CFR to commit suicide.

Anyway, back to the subject of the self.

As discussed already, Warriors have a great fascination and desire to examine what makes them them. Kahlo once said:

“I paint myself because I am alone. I paint myself because I am the subject I know best.”

If Kahlo was made differently and wasn’t born as the warrior archetype, I’m sure her paintings would have covered domestic still life or the views out her window, but she painted herself mostly and friends.

If we can learn something from Kahlo from just reading her eyebrows, it would be on the power of focusing on the self, on focusing on what we can do and not on what we can’t and if there is nothing that we can do, then we must express that. And this is what she did:

Create Authenticity

Hello and welcome to my second adventure into subliminal land! This time we are taking a turn into the fifth element of the five elements of Chinese medicine, Metal element which symbolises old grief, authenticity, respect, idealism, perfectionism, loss, meaningfulness, and authority.

The archetypes associated with this element are royalty, the divine and the father.

So these affirmations are written to generate authenticity, your sense of authority and your own power, and how and when to respect.

People who have weak Metal element might struggle with control. Whether that’s controlling too much and therefore creating a lack of respect for others, or controlling themselves as they have no idea who or what to be authentic to. When someone has control issues, they will also have trust issues in others, life but especially in regards to the unknown and if that means losing something or someone to the unknown.

These affirmations are a way to boost this department of your life and create flow of movement if you feel stuck. And they have also been created to create movement into Water element, the first element of the 5E (they all sit in a circle) which is related to the qualities of trust, faith, magic, and the subconscious.

These subliminal are best listened to for an hour everyday until you see results or you feel lightheaded. Remember to keep hydrated as you listen!

You can hear the subliminals here on YouTube

Create Compassion

Hi everyone, I hope that you are well. On a whim I am taking a brief adventure into the world of subliminals – affirmations recorded under the range of hearing to directly effect the subconscious mind. Affirmations are statements in the first person that affirm what you desire is already here and so you will behave as if it is so. I’ve been using them a lot to great success for my mental health in the past couple of months

I was inspired by just tinkering with my own and adding them to my forthcoming meditation “The Wisdom of The Mother” to make the meditation more effective, but then I reconsidered I thought to publish them direct.

These affirmations have been inspired by the fourth element of the five element system, Earth element, which symbolises compassion, motherhood, food, harvest, stability, safety, gentleness, self care, and generosity to name a few.

People who have weak Earth element will struggle with kindness towards themselves and others. They won’t feel satisfied or will have difficulty feeling satisfied with their life. They will struggle with taking care of themselves properly, or that the world/home/their life feels dangerous and unsafe. They have no sense of stability (that’s probably most of us right now, ha ha ha).

These affirmations are a way to boost this department of your life and create flow of movement if you feel stuck. And they have also been created to create movement into Metal element, the last element of the 5E, which is related to the qualities of respect, authenticity, destiny, life purpose, standards, the long view and clarity.

These subliminal are best listened to for an hour everyday until you see results or you feel lightheaded. Remember to keep hydrated as you listen!

You can hear the subliminals here on YouTube

For transparency’s sake here are the affirmations that I’ve written. I will warn you that if your conscious mind is ignorant of them they work better, but I’ve described above is a brief summary of what they will do.

Anyway:

I am always gentle with myself. I am kind to myself.

Face Reading Nefertiti: The Bust and its Secrets (Subscriber Content)

Some three thousand three hundred and ninety years ago, there lived a woman who was the queen of Egypt. She was the Great Royal Wife of her husband, the Pharaoh, Akhtenaten. Her name was Nefertiti, meaning “The Beautiful Woman has Come.” One her daughters married the famous pharaoh, Tutankhamun, her step son.

Little is really known about who she was as a person, a lot is open to speculation and debate, however, what we do know is that this iconic bust of this queen, is one of the most famous portraits from the ancient world.

We’re going to read the face of this bust today. And perhaps know a little more of this enigmatic queen through the magic of Five Element face reading. But there are a few caveats we need to get through first….

Disclaimer, Disclaimer, Disclaimer,

or

Background, Background, Background

This bust was discovered by German archaeologists in 1912 in the workshop of the sculptor Thutmose in Amarna – a contemporary artist to Nefertiti. There is no inscription to indicate that this is Nefertiti, but it has been identified due to the crown which she had been seen wearing in other depictions identified as Neferiti. This bust was also found in the company of other unfinished Nefertiti statues, so we must assume there was a common likeness.

From an art perspective, this bust is very interesting. Because I don’t think this what the queen looked like

Based on my research Egyptian art was not meant to be accurate or photo realistic but intended to portray qualities of the inner soul, or standardised qualities that kings, rulers and gods are meant to have.

For example, you may be shocked to know that this figure on the right is an Egyptian depiction of Alexander the Great:

https://circularfacereading.files.wordpress.com/2020/12/c8875-360px-louxor_amon_ra_alexandre.jpg

Who apparently looked like this, by a sculptor who was reported to be very faithful to Alexander’s appearance:

https://www.roger-pearse.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/alexander-lysippus1.jpg

You can clearly see the difference on art styles. Despite the Egyptian Alexander being from a much later period, one thousand years later, the similarities in the Egyptian art style are very close. Realism is not the aim.

So, what am I going to do about this for a Chinese face reading?

In order for this reading to work, I’m going to give it as if the bust is how Nefertiti wanted to appear, how her artists or how the people expected her to act or wanted in a Pharaoh.

Anyway, now that disclaimer is out of the way, lets move onward.

The Secrets of The Bust

Just as when we find facial features sexually attractive on another, it subconsciously expresses a desire for the features we’d like our children to have, the same could be said when we create art of human faces. But the subconscious desire, this time, revolves around a desire for certain characteristics and qualities.

The more I’ve continued in my life as a Chinese face reader, the more I’ve found the five elements embedded into the subconscious. A desire to grow your hair long, in CFR, indicates you’d like to be more in touch with your intuition and creativity. Attraction to those with long hair, means you are attracted to intuition and creativity.

Since we are operating from the belief that ancient Egyptian art is not realistic, what I see in the Nefertiti statue is the ancient Egyptian subconscious desire to have a ruler who has strong beliefs, high standards, an independent and wilful nature, while still being considerate and generous towards others when they solve problems. And a small friendship group.

Let’s start how I normally would, with the feature of the face that calls to me the most.

Nefertiti has high and prominent cheekbones and upper cheeks, that create this slightly hollow/shadowed appearance. The cheekbones also have this fused appearance with the ears. Prominent upper cheeks show a natural ability to be authoritative, like a king, to communicate what is needed and clearly tell others what to do. This combined with the “fused” cheekbones (cheekbones that look as if they are connected to the ear) means that there is a desire for this monarch to do this ruthlessly – or at least the ability to be ruthless on occasion, as there is some softness in the face that counteracts this.

Jaws in CFR are called the roots of the tree. Strong roots equals strong beliefs, so strong that it will be difficult to push that person over. Most people often feel subconsciously protected by those who have strong jaws, because their ethics are strong and immovable.

So if we consider this in combination with the high cheekbones and prominent upper cheeks, we have someone we cannot mess around with. They say “jump!” and we say “where?”

And then we have more wilfulness in the ears. Ears that stick out away from the head indicate someone who will go against the grain, be independent and unconventional. The ancient Egyptians wanted a ruler who would think for themselves.

This sentiment is echoed again in the width of the mouth. In CFR, the width of the mouth indicates how much energy someone has for their friendship group. We can tell if the mouth is broad or narrow by lining up the end of the mouth with the pupils. If the mouth falls inside this line it is narrow, if it falls on the line it is average, and if it falls outside the line it is broad. People with broad mouths have the energy for numerous friendships, triple than those with narrow mouths.

The bust has a narrow mouth, indicating someone who had a small friendship group, but the lips are full, the top and bottom lip even in shape. When this happens, this indicates a person who naturally understands the language of relationships. Full lips are an indicator of a generous nature. This communicates a desire for the queen to keep a small and close circle of advisors and friends, but still be open, warm and generous to her people.

We come to the last warm and soft feature on Nefertiti’s face – her rounded eyebrows.

In Chinese Face reading, the shape of the eyebrows correlate to how we make our decisions. People who have rounded eyebrows like to defer and get the opinions of others, or at least consider how this decision will impact others. Typically these eyebrows display a people pleasing quality, but here on the bust, the strong jaw and basically everything else on the face negates that.

The strength of eyebrows indicate confidence, strong eyebrows, good confidence.

So I see a desire to have a Pharaoh who would be open to counsel while keeping her own, and who wouldn’t be selfish or shortsighted when making a decision that would impact her subjects.

In summary, we have someone who is very difficult to influence – in other words, someone who would look out for the interests of Egypt, would be able to be ruthless with those who wronged her but still able to be on good terms, and be naturally talented at cultivating a good relationship with their people. Cold but also warm.

It should also be noted that these strong characteristics are not what are historically desired from women. I’m not going to jump in and suggest that the 18th dynasty of Ancient Egypt was some feminist paradise, but there is a theory floating around in archaeology that several years before her husband’s death, Nefertiti was elevated from wife to co-regent. Many archaeological sites have depicted in art Nefertiti smiting Egypt’s enemies, and worshiping the sun disk Aten – depictions that were only reserved for ruling Pharaohs, not their wives.

Regardless of whether this reading is accurate to Nefertiti’s character or the subconscious desires of what the ancient Egyptians wanted in a ruler, we still got some pretty cool and fun face reading practice out it. Applying Chinese face reading to history is one of my favourite things.

Dalai Lama Revisited (Subscriber Content)

Hello and welcome to my very late and promised post on the Dalai Lama. I’m very sorry that it’s taken me this long. I launched this service at a time when I wasn’t ready to give it, due to life/what was going on with me in the summer and the autumn, put pushed it anyway because I wanted to make something happen and introduce something new. I plan to make December “Christmas all at once,” catch up and push out the articles that I neglected.

Last time when I wrote about the Dalai Lama, I gave him the wrong birth date patterns by accident. This time I have the correct ones.

We all have three patterns in our Nine Star Ki birth dates.

The first pattern is our main personality. Our second pattern is our emotional self, stressed self, or who we were as children. The third pattern is our destiny which has two sides: the first is our ongoing challenge or theme running through out our lives which we need to surpass and learn from time and time again to reach the second side – our destiny, our true calling in the world.

The Dalai Lama’s first pattern is earth, mother. His stressed self is the princess. His destiny is that of fire.

In the last post I mentioned that the DL has a small mouth for his Asian heritage:

Mouths represent the relationship we had with our mothers. A small mouth represents a relationship between mother and child that did not satisfy and nurture the child. This doesn’t mean that mother was a bad person, maybe she was too preoccupied caring for her ill parents, maybe it clash of different natures, maybe the child was the parent in the dynamic…

What this means is that this person has a huge deficit when it comes to the personal relationships in their life – they’re just not able to have the energy to have multiple close relationships, because they are still reeling from that ill nourishing childhood experience.

They won’t be able to understand the language of relationships easily. It will be a foreign experience for them. It can also reflect an experience of feeling less safe overall and difficulty with finding relationships and a location that feel like “home.”

This analysis changes slightly when we consider his (correct) birth date patterns, as there is a contradiction.

His first pattern of mother and earth says that the language of relationships are his natural territory. He’s naturally sweet, generous and compassionate. But his lips say the opposite.

This is very natural to find and in fact adds a level of nuance. This contradiction means that there is a natural compulsion to help and be generous, while the lips say he doesn’t know the language of relationships well enough to know how to give that help appropriately socially.

I’m assuming this is a thing of the past with the DL. Someone with this mouth needs to learn how to mother themselves healthy selfishness, over years and years, so they become the mother that they couldn’t have. The scales in relationships should be tipped more towards themselves, with 20% to others. When that happens, what we will find is this slow maturation, like the blooming of grapes on a vine, of “mother’s intuition.” A knowing who to feed and how to give it because you’ve fed yourself.

Going through the Dalai Lama’s posts on Facebook, his main message seems to be one of compassion. The archetype of mother in Chinese medicine is one who is compassionate, always ready and there to feed children, her spouse, friends, and to even worry about people she has briefly met.

His destiny pattern speaks of one of his main challenges being able to feel others emotions and thoughts as his own, and then act on them. The challenge becomes one of discernment, but once this is overcome again and again what we can find is that, this person can hold their emotions and the others, feel it as their own without being engulfed, and offer great compassion through empathy. The archetype here is that of the open heart.

This destiny pattern is also associated with fire – and there’s more fire in the Dalai Lama’s face. This is what I wrote about these features last time:

The inner corner of his eyes are pointed, this means a sharp communicator and maybe with a quick sense of humor and warmth. This sharp pattern is repeated again with the upward peak slant of his eyebrows, meaning the same again and someone who swiftly makes decisions. And then the corners of his mouth are pointed. In CFR terms this means where the lips end, but the line of the mouth continues. This signifies again quickness, mischievousness and fun and adds warmth and light to his personality…He has a sense of humour and can tell his teachings warmly.

Mother types are great at feeding others, especially with information and food. This playful and curious nature, this natural openness means the Buddhist teachings go down with greater smoothness than if he was someone who was more serious. Sometimes we can see someone who has the last destiny pattern of fire, usually found in entertainers because of that sense of humour, as someone who is destined to bring to light (or the spotlight) to an issue or a set of teachings to the public.

There’s yet another contradiction between his face and birth date – the fire destiny speaks of a problem with openness (too much openness) while his eyes speak of someone who is emotionally guarded. Again, this brings nuance. The talents required to navigate the pitfalls of extreme emotionally empathy are already in place – these eyes give him the discernment required to tell what is his and what is not his.

He is an emotionally expressive and warm person but he’s able to choose the moments to show it.

There’s an another asset on his face as well – his undefined jaw as seen in this picture:

In Chinese face reading we call the jaw the roots of the face. Someone with a strong jaw has strong roots. This means they have a strong belief and value system but it’s so strong that can’t be argued with or changed without great difficultly. Having a weaker, less defined jaw, can give someone a reasonable amount of flexibility, they’re able to see one side of the issue and also the other.

I think the Dalai Lama is able to empathise and feel with different people from all walks of life and still be able to return home to earth. Solitary quiet time will be so important to help declutter from the emotions he’s felt through out the day and give him an opportunity to truly be himself again.

Now for my last point.

In the previous article I mentioned that the lines on the Dalai Lama’s forehead meant that there had been more than a few lessons in his twenties that he hadn’t fully learnt yet.

What I’m about to say is conjecture and an educated guess at best as to why these lessons haven’t been integrated. I also don’t know what happened in his 20’s.

When the Dalai Lama is under stress and emotional he tends to veer towards denial. This strategy is about ignoring the problem so the problem goes away. The Dalai Lama might have encountered some painful experiences in his twenties that are too painful to even recognise, so the best option to survive is to deny. And this could be what is reflected on his face.

We all have our weak and blind spots as humans, even religious and spiritual leaders. It’s all part of being human.

That’s it for today, I hope you enjoyed. I’m going to start writing about J. Robert Oppenheimer tomorrow, the creator of the atomic bomb.

Much love and thank you so much for your patience,

Cairistiona

What does a small mouth mean?

Reading faces who don’t have Caucasian heritage is slightly different.

People who are or have Asian or black heritage will naturally have much fuller and larger mouths than the average Caucasian.

A full mouth gives a person certain characteristics and experiences but if it’s the “base line” for the race, it doesn’t mean anything – the full mouth meaning is given if the mouth is exceptionally full, much larger than the average. Or, as a face reader I have to take a note when the mouth is much much smaller for the person’s racial background.

The latter is what we have for the Dalai Lama.

Mouths represent the relationships we had with our mothers. A small mouth represents a relationship between mother and child that did not satisfy and nurture the child. This doesn’t mean that mother was a bad person.

Maybe she was too preoccupied caring for her ill parents? Maybe it was a clash of different natures? Maybe the child was the parent in the dynamic?

What this means is that this person has a huge deficit when it comes to the personal relationships in their life. They’re just not able to have the energy to have multiple close relationships, because they are still reeling from that ill nourishing childhood experience.

They won’t be able to understand the language of relationships easily. It will be a foreign experience for them. It can also reflect an experience of feeling less safe overall and difficulty with finding relationships and a location that feel like “home.”

With this mouth we’d need this person to balance the deficit through a prioritising themselves, healthy selfishness, over years and years, so they become their own mothers. The scales in relationships should be tipped more towards themselves, with 20% to others.

These are experiences that the Dalai Lama might have gone through. He travels a lot as his position demands so his small mouth could be an advantage here as he doesn’t need much to set up a home.

This is an extract from a commissioned and sponsored 1,600+ word article on the Dalai Lama through my Patreon. Please see the previous articles on my blog to find out more on how you can sponsor me to analyse different faces at length and in great depth.

A Deep Dive Into The Dalai Lama (Subscriber Content)

EDIT: I made an error when writing this article and got the wrong birth date patterns for the Dalai Lama. The King patterns I write of, actually reflect his tenure in office – how the world perceives him and how his time in office has gone. Please read the information I provide on the king archetype as such and ignore when I combine this archetype with the patterns on his face. I didn’t want to delete or rewrite this article as I spent a lot of time on it and the information is useful regardless. And it’s 1,600 + words in the bin 😦 I will write a proper reading with his correct July birth date in the next week. I’m really sorry and thank you for understanding!

First of all, thank you so much for choosing to sponsor me, commission these articles and your ongoing interest in Chinese face reading. This takes a lot of energy to do on my behalf, so I’m going to try doing these monthly and see how to goes from there.

The Dalai Lama is a very famous and very wise person. From what I have seen his main message is compassion and he has some the facial feature associated with compassion – full lower cheeks that have filled out in age, and a rounded fleshy tip to the nose. But I see this message coming from elsewhere in his design.

When we look at his birth date what I see is the archetype of the King. The King who sits high on his throne and can survey his lands. This archetype as a personality means he can see the larger perspective and the little details. So when the DL teaches compassion he is teaching compassion from a long term, rational utilitarian view. It’s not kindness for the sake of it, but for the beneficial consequence as he has so much perspective.

The five elements, which Chinese face reading is based on, are multiple in meanings and imagery. So the archetype of the king (because of his high castle or palace) is also associated with the archetype of heaven and by extension holiness and sanctity. It’s not unusual to find people with this pattern interested in theology or pursuing priesthood or a religious career/purpose, or even high up in their respective hierarchy.

Being close to the divine or the divine essence is very important for these kings to function – even those kings who aren’t interested in religion, they’ll need to find sanctity in other ways to live their best authentic life. When there’s sanctity there’s a moment to pause and a moment to rest, a moment for them to get away from their perfectionism, high self criticism, controlling behaviours and then from that will flow trust and faith in the face of the unknown. The trust and faith will deepen this connection to the divine.

The pattern of the king repeats in his face with his full upper cheeks. In CFR we usually call these queen cheeks or power cheeks. It’s important for every king to speak his mind clearly so he can give the orders needed to his troops or courtiers. And this is what these cheeks mean, an ability to clearly speak his mind and give orders – or his case, advice.

Healthy kings feel that they have a sacred honour and duty to lead by the best example through the authenticity of their achievements. This helps others strive for their own authenticity and power. I’m not saying the DL has done this but, most Kings have a desire for power but mistake this power for power or control over others. They may also mistake wealth for power. I have known and heard of so many Kings (and Queens) who rely on controlling manipulative behaviour to feel powerful, because their inner criticism is so strong and debilitating that they must debilitate others.

Healthy kings realise that this sense of power and being powerful must come from mastery and refinement of the self and the true commitment of being oneself. As in their life, it will be organised that they will face many challenges that compromise their authenticity, the root of their power.

Some kings may realise that true power comes from the divine and they may only wish to be vessels of it.

Because of their humongous perspective and insight coming from their sensitivity to detail and priority to refine/perfect themselves, Kings will be advanced and wise at a very young age and this head start only grows as they grow older. They will achieve insight that is incredibly uncommon. In Chinese Medicine, the King archetype is associated with the energy of old age.

So the Dalai Lama as a child was effectively born old and was probably even very uncomfortable with youth and being young. It’s common for these types of feel that youth simply doesn’t suit them and they are relieved to grow older and become more like themselves. As youths, may even hang around with people much older as they feel they are with a “peer.”

This kingly heavenly nature is a huge part of the Dalai Lama’s personality. In the birth date system that I use, we have three patterns. They can be three different patterns or the same blocked. The Dalai Lama is the latter, so the king archetype is a Herculean and vigorous force in his personality.

The DL is not an emotional person. People with small and deep set eyes are people who hold their emotions very close to their chest, they are not emotionally open people. There can be other features in the face that offset this, and I do see this with the Dalai Lama.

This signifies again quickness, mischievousness and fun and adds warmth and light to his personality. He’s a serious and devout man but not THAT serious!

He has a sense of humour and can tell his teachings warmly. His King, heavenly nature places him above the earth, these features on his face make him a part of it.

Despite being so enlightened (pun intended), there are some features on his face that tell me that he hasn’t fully learned the lessons from his twenties.

Another way to read the face in CFR is that facial feature is a territory for a decade of someone’s life. The forehead is the 20s and the lines on it represent the lessons we have learnt. Full complete lines signify full complete lessons. Broken incomplete lines represent incomplete lessons. Life will offer the individual repeats of these lessons, and once they learn, the line will join.

As a face reader, I can’t always tell you what has happened but I can tell that something has happened.

Reading faces who don’t have Caucasian heritage is slightly different.

People who are or have Asian or black heritage will naturally have much fuller and larger mouths than the average Caucasian. A full mouth gives a person certain characteristics and experiences but if it’s the “base line” for the race, it doesn’t mean anything – the full mouth meaning is given if the mouth is exceptionally full, might larger than the average. Or, as a face reader I have to take a note when the mouth is much much smaller for the person’s racial background.

The latter is what we have for the Dalai Lama.

I should probably add here that you are not “cursed” with your facial features. Each feature can be navigated into healthier waters. With this mouth, we’d need this person to balance the deficit through a prioritising themselves, healthy selfishness, over years and years, so they become their own mothers. The scales in relationships should be tipped more towards themselves, with 20% to others.

These are experiences that the Dalai Lama might have gone through, he travels a lot as his position demands. His small mouth could be an advantage here. Small mouths tend to have an aversion to material possessions – so does the King archetype if they’re leaning more towards the heaven/in the skies, lets deny all earthly possessions. So we have two patterns that reinforce one another.

His mouth, if you see the picture below of him as younger man, has natural asymmetry:

In CFR the right side is the public side and the left is the private. Any mismatch between left and right on the face shows a discrepancy.

The right side of the Dalai Lama’s mouth indicates that he’s more mischievous and playful in public – as that side of the mouth, the corner is very pointed. On the left, his upper and lower lips equal in size which means he is an emotionally expressive person in private – this pattern is reinforced again with his deep set and small eyes.

Now we’ve come to the end of this deep dive.

Much love,

Cairistiona
